5-Step Guide
We know that the concept of DNA testing can be a little confusing. That’s why we’ve created this guide to help you understand what is DNA and what it means for you. We’re here to help you make sense of all this science jargon, so take a look at our 5-step guide below:
1. Learn what is DNA and why DNA is relevant to you
2. Understand how DNA testing works
3. Know which test to take
4. What happens to your DNA data after you get tested?
5. How can we help?
What is DNA and why should I care?
DNA stands for Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid, which is basically your body’s blueprint for life. It contains instructions for making all of your cells, including heart cells and brain cells—and even sperm and egg cells! Your fingerprints are also made up of your unique DNA sequence. That means no two people in the world have exactly the same genetic code! Your DNA even determines your health, fitness, and lifestyle traits. That’s why it’s so important to take a DNA test.
Why DNA Testing is relevant to you ?
When you take a DNA test, you’re doing more than just finding out your heritage. You’re also taking the first step towards understanding how that heritage affects you.You may want to know if you have any genetic risks for certain diseases or conditions. Or maybe you’re curious about how your DNA might affect your fitness or health. Maybe you want to see if there are any traits—like being good at math or being prone to anxiety—that run in your family and could be passed down to future generations. Or maybe you just want to know what your ancestry is so that you can trace back different parts of your family tree.
Why would I want to get a DNA test?
DNA is the building block of life. It’s what makes you. Your DNA tells you who your ancestors were and what they looked like, and it also helps determine which traits you have. Whether you’re curious about your family history or want to know if you might have a risk for certain diseases, DNA testing can help!
How DNA testing works ?
There are several steps involved in DNA testing:
Sample collection: A small sample of DNA is collected from an individual. This can be done through a saliva sample, a cheek swab, or a blood sample.
Extraction: The DNA is extracted from the sample and purified.
Amplification: The purified DNA is amplified, or copied, using a process called polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This allows a small amount of DNA to be analyzed.
Analysis: The amplified DNA is then analyzed using a variety of techniques, such as restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis.
Interpretation: The results of the DNA analysis are then interpreted by a trained geneticist or genetic counselor.
DNA testing is a complex process that requires specialized equipment and trained personnel. It is usually performed in a laboratory setting.
Know which test to take (1)
At this time, we have 3 types of DNA tests:
1. DNA screening: This type of test is used to detect genetic diseases such as down syndrome or cystic fibrosis. It can also be used to diagnose cancer and other diseases at an early stage so that they can be treated before they develop into full-blown disease conditions. If you’re concerned about your risk for certain diseases like diabetes or cancer, this test can help identify those risks before it’s too late!

2. DNA Bloodline (also known as Paternity or Maternity): This type of test is used to confirm whether someone is the father or mother of a child according to a specific set of rules set by law enforcement agencies (LEA) around the world. Are you curious about whether someone is actually related to another person? Our bloodline test will tell you for sure! At least you may choose two people from your family to be tested.

3. DNA Private: This test lets you keep your DNA information private so that only YOU have access to it. It’s a great option if you just want to know more about yourself but don’t want anyone else to see any raw data from the test itself (like potential medical). The most important way why you can choose this option is to prepare for the future examination of your DNA code.
